The Americas Foundation promotes reason, understanding, and humanity in the Americas. When widely held, these ideals sustain a free society, offer the opportunity for personal achievement, and permit successful self-government.
We believe that free, energetic people in an open, democratic society will develop and sustain a community in which justice and mutual respect prevail and in which they can create better lives for their families and their fellow citizens and live in peace. The ideas of freedom and progress go hand-in-hand. The commitment to freedom and progress compels an equal resolve to educating our community and to protecting the rights of our citizens and their means of communication.
The Americas Foundation reinforces those commitments, promoting the interaction of ideas, experiences and opinions of people throughout the Americas and stimulating a sense of community of common interest among our citizens. |
