Thirty years ago, the Americas Foundation was started to provide poor children living in underdeveloped parts of Tijuana with the opportunity to develop their different talents, and give them an example of a positive community service project.
The Americas Foundation and “Escuela La Esperanza” offers preschool through 6th grade academic and arts programs. Students’ are provided with core courses in mathematics, sciences, social studies and languages. These core classes are then complimented with additional courses in ballet, orchestra and choir music, computer science, nutrition and ecology, visual and performing arts, and foreign language. The programs encourage students to have a well-rounded education that will help them develop each individual’s many talents. The mission continues today.
